Chiropractic is a drug free, hands on approach to health care that incorporates spinal manipulation, nutrition, & other modalities. The most common therapeutic procedure used is spinal manipulation, also known as an adjustment. An adjustment is used to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become hypomobile as a result of tissue injury, caused by a single traumatic event or repetitive stress. Tissues that are injured go through physical and chemical changes that can lead to inflammation, pain, and lessened function. Adjustments help to restore mobility, relieve pain and muscle tension, and allow tissue to heal.
2022 Updates:
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or ask us for more information.
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine used to alleviate pain and promote overall health. It is a treatment technique that uses very fine needles inserted into specific points in the body for therapeutic purposes.
According to traditional Chinese medicine, these points are situated along meridians, through which Qi flows. Health is a condition of balance of Yin and Yang within the body. Of particular importance is the free flow of Qi, a difficult concept to translate, commonly referred to as the "vital energy" of the body. Acupuncture is used to regulate the flow of Qi and Blood and to tonify the body.
Acupuncture can be used to treat the following: headaches, allergic sinusitis, frozen shoulder, arthritis, dysmennorhea, irritabel bowel syndrome, depression, nicotine addiction, weight loss, high blood pressure, morning sickness, a variety of back problems, & much more!
Deep-Tissue cold laser therapy is a non-invasive modality that initiates numerous physiological and biological responses to aid and accelerate the body's own natural healing system, to more rapidly and completely repair injured tissue.
During each painless treatment, laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscles spasms, stiffness, and pain. As the injured area returns to normal, function is restored and pain is relieved. Infrared laser light interacts with tissues at the cellular level increasing metabolic activity within the cells. By improving the transport of nutrients across the cell membrane, the increased production of cellular energy (ATP) is stimulated. The cascade of beneficial effects that follows includes increased cellular function and tissue repair.
Cold laser therapy can be used for the following conditions: arthritis, carpal tunnel, chronic pain syndromes (neck, back, knee, etc.), sports injuries, sprain/strains, tendonitis, plantar fascitis, and so much more!!!
Chiropractic care can help with: stiffness, lameness, decrease in performance level, uneven gait, pelvic asymmetry, controlling pain in chronic injuries, abnormal posture, muscle imbalance, poor transitions between gaits, and more.
Animal Chiropractic is the treatment of ailments that involve the bones, joints, and nervous system of the body. Spinal manipulation is often used to "make us feel better", but it also very important in keeping our nervous system healthy. All the joints in the body (both humans and animal) have receptors in them called proprioceptors which give very important information to the brain about the body's balance and movement. If our spinal joints are not moving or functioning properly, they will not stimulate these proprioceptors and the information sent to the brain and nervous system is reduced. Each of these proprioceptors in the body connects with hundreds of other nerves, so reduction in the functioning of one area can affect many other areas.
Everything in the body is controlled by the spinal cord and nervous system. Due to this fact, many other body functions can be affected by a nervous system that isn't functioning to its capacity.
A properly trained individual can determine if the spinal joint is not moving properly via a thorough physical exam, neurological exam, stance and gait analysis, and motion palpation. An adjustment can then be given if determined necessary. The adjustment is a very specific controlled force of low amplitude and high velocity that is delivered in a specific direction through a joint plane to restore that joint to normal function.
Problems with normal spinal biomechanics can occur with trauma or just normal "wear and tear" of every day activities.
Animal chiropractic is a natural, drug free addition to your pet's total health care program. Animal chiropractic together with regular veterinary care will enable your horse or dog to enjoy optimal performance.
